"Your Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light to my path."
When the writer wrote that, how much light do you suppose he was talking about? Not much right? He didn't have an LED 1500 lumen flashlight did he? Those of us who have walked by the light of an old kerosene lamp recognize that you may only be able to see to the next step or two.
So the writer is saying YHWH, it's Your Word that shows me my next step. Not only that but it reveals to me the pathway that I am on, it gives me direction and keeps me from falling off the way and getting hurt.
